Check out the bands that do the covers - a lot of them are making some great glam-punk/powerpop tunes that are worth further exploration and consideration. These songs drive a hard bargain and make no compromises with their chord changes, aggressive vocals, and true rockstar attitude. This is not 1-2-3-4 and then a lot of noise punk rock. This is punk so good, the record companies couldn't tame it. Get this album, then go check out the originals as well as the rest of the other bands. zzzptm
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
